About Scott
Scott Freymuller is the Owner and President of OIB Consulting, a dual-engineering licensed construction company focused on building and maintaining our communities. With a 20-year history in the construction industry, his knowledge and leadership have made OIB Consulting a front-runner in their commitment to safety, sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Prior to founding OIB Consulting, Scott began working as a firefighter in 1988. He progressed through the ranks, eventually serving as a Fire Captain, paramedic, and tactical paramedic for special operations teams related to law enforcement. He retired after nearly 20 years’ dedication as a civil servant.
Scott came to the realization that the traumatic events he had experienced over the decades had gravely impacted his decisions, relationships, and life’s path. With a new-found awakening and wealth of knowledge, he acted on a calling to help others through sharing his truth and insight and created The Mental Knot, a program focused on improving the mental health of our community. The program creates self-awareness about the impact of unhealed trauma and its behavior as it plays out in all relationships – partnerships, friendships, parenting, and business. The content identifies ‘red flags’ and out-of-character behaviors that help viewers begin the healing process and improve their mental health.
In continuing his dedication to serve the community and create change, Scott founded The Knot Foundation, a private, philanthropic organization, focused on funding and participating in mental health and community program development and partnerships. The Foundation places an emphasis on raising awareness, and creating resources, programs and technology that support the mental health of those that have experienced traumatic life events. The Foundation encompasses activities voluntarily initiated such as a “The Purpose Program,” was created to provide careers for retirees from Police, Fire, Military and Federal Agencies to help establish identity and maintain mental health while transitioning to the private sector. Additionally, a post-rehab transitional work program; the promotion of mental wellness technology platforms and mutual support of aligned community programs.
As Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of the Foundation, Scott continuously cultivates relationships and seeks opportunities to bridge the gap where the The Knot Foundation and The Mental Knot Program can continue to empower mental health.
